The British Airways Visa Signature® Card from Chase is a travel rewards card that gives members a variety of ways to earn miles. The card also provides new cardmembers with bonus miles and the card does not charge foreign transaction fees. This card is for those with excellent credit who are seeking a travel rewards cards.

Rates and Offers
The card has an APR of 14.24% for both purchases and balance transfers. The card does not offer a special introductory APR. The APR for cash advances is 19.24% and the APR for overdraft is also 19.24%. The penalty APR is 29.99% and can be applied if you fail to make your payment, exceed your credit line, or make a payment that is returned. If the penalty rate is applied, then it will apply indefinitely to future transactions. If you don’t make the minimum payment within 60 days then the penalty APR will apply to all outstanding balances and future transactions on your Account. If Chase receives six consecutive payments on time, beginning immediately after the increase, the penalty APR will stop being applied to transactions that occurred prior to or within 14 days after you were provided notice about the APR increase.

50,000 Bonus Miles Offers
The card offers a special 50,000 bonus miles offer to new cardmembers. You will receive 25,000 bonus BA Miles with this bonus offer after you make your first purchase with the card. This can be redeemed for 1 domestic reward flight on oneworld® alliance partner airlines including American Airlines® and Alaskan Airlines. You will qualify for and receive your bonus after your first purchase. You will receive another 25,000 bonus BA Miles when you spend $2,500 within the first 3 months of opening your account. This too can be redeemed for 1 domestic reward flight on oneworld® alliance partner airlines including American Airlines® and Alaskan Airlines. The 50,000 bonus miles are only for new cardmembers.

Earning Miles
You will earn 2.5 BA Miles for each $1 of British Airways net purchases and 1.25 BA Miles for each $1 of all other net purchases. You do not earn BA Miles on balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like charges such as travelers checks, foreign currency, and money orders, any checks that are used to access your account, overdraft advances, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including fees for products that protect or insure the balances of your account. There is no maximum number of BA Miles that you can accumulate in the program. Each year cardmembers are eligible for one companion voucher ticket just for being a cardmember. Cardmembers are also eligible for $50 off British Airways tickets when booked through December 31, 2010 for purchases made at ba.com/get50 only. Valid for travel through December 31, 2011.
